This is a grower. But it’s a damn fast grower! What makes this significant though, is the fact that Space’s first two albums provided instant joy for my aural senses, but now they hardly get an outing. I feel the very fact that ‘Suburban Rock ‘n’ Roll’ has commanded a more concentrated listening effort, bodes well for a priority place in my playlist, not just now, but for many years to come.Having said all this, the title track, ‘Hitch Hiking’, and ‘The English Language’ (A more upbeat re-working of a song originally made available for download through the website) couple instant ear candy with lyrical oil slicks.
